Station 5 is located at 1030 Hendersonville Road.Engine 5 (1992 Snozzle 1250gpm pumper) , Ladder 5 (1994 KME 75’ ladder).
This includes a contract to provide fire and rescue services to Biltmore Forest and one of the country’s premier tourist sites the Biltmore House.
The original Station 5 was located in the Biltmore village and contained a galvanized pole that connected the fire fighters quarters to the apparatus floor.All accounts say that this was a fast ride to the first floor.
L-5 was created as was E-4 due to the rapid growth explosion that is taking place in the south end of town.Refered to as LA (Lower Asheville)this area is the fastest growing in the city.
